Whooping Cough

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The nurse was informed that there has been one confirmed case of pertussis (whooping cough) in the community. Please watch for signs and symptoms of this disease, such as a prolonged or severe cough. Also, please be aware that whooping cough is dangerous to babies. Additional information is provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) at Consult a doctor if you think you or someone in your family has the symptoms of whooping cough.
